Raise Your Standards

Note to Self, Raise Your Standards!

The new year is ideal for a fresh start, a do over. I like to begin with examining my who, what, why and where. Then re-setting, re-adjusting, and re-focusing my mindset. I set long-term and short-term goals.

WHO is in my inner circle?
WHAT have I already achieved?
WHY have I not achieved the goals set previously?
WHERE should I place yourself to achieve your new goals?

WHO is in your inner circle of friends, professionals, and colleagues? This is the key to accomplishing your goals.  It is imperative to immediately remove people from your inner circle who compromise your emotional, mental, financial, and physical being. Tony Robbins says it best, “Get rid of negative people who bring you down.  Surround yourself with people who lift you up, lend you knowledge and help you learn from your mistakes.” Surrounding yourself with winners, people with high standards, integrity, that are great resources personally and professionally is key. Raise your standards for the people in your inner circle. Your emotional resilience is essential for success!

WHAT have you already achieved and be thankful for those accomplishes. How did you get there, look at this achievement, praise yourself and mirror a job well done.

Dig deep into WHY you may not have accomplished your past goals. This will give you the insight to accomplish your new goals. It usually begins re-setting, re-adjusting, and re-focusing your mindset. Self-care is a must, take time to be quiet, think and re-charge.

When looking at your WHERE ask yourself, am I where you want to be? Put yourself where you want to be, gather with people already there and visualize it done.

Set long-term and short-term goals, revisit them monthly. Setting your goals is important. If your goal is a big one try breaking it down into small achievable parts and time frames, then put in place a plan of action and get it done. Make any necessary adjustments to accomplish them. Get an accountability partner, write your goals down, look at them daily, hang them where you can see them and work diligently toward achieving them.

I challenge you to choose good habits for life, to live on purpose with purpose and grow stronger in 2024. Happy New Year!   #strongertogether - Love, Peace, Success, and Happiness, LeeAnn
